Senses
My creative practice is a journey of multi-media exploration of identity within the cities, while also delving into profound philosophical questions. This journey melds traditional and digital art forms with a deep sensory experience inspired by the limitations of my vision.
Observation:
Observation is my starting point, and my artistic journey is deeply influenced by my visual impairment. I begin from a place of difficulty, as I explore and attempt to understand the world around me. It's a process of uncovering the unseen, embracing the challenges and unique perspective that my impaired eyesight offers.
Materials and Methods:
Within my creative practice, I employ a diverse range of materials and methods, encompassing wood, ceramic, resin, graphite, digital tools, strings, ribbons, sounds, cameras, collages, and digital editing. These materials and methods serve as instruments for my exploration of the essence of things, bridging the tactile and the digital.
Seeking Understanding and Connection:
My overarching goal is to understand and connect with what I perceive. Through my work, I aim to engage viewers, inviting them to see and feel the world the way I do. The use of images and sensory elements draws the audience into a shared experience of perception and connection.

Urban connections
I want to understand and connect with what I perceive. Through my work, I aim to engage viewers, inviting them to see and feel the world the way I do.
My creative methods are inherently experimental, whether in the creation of videos, drawings, photographs, or digital images. I engage in repetition, not in search of a specific form, image, or sound, but to capture the atmospheric essence in which these forms, images, or sounds are embedded. The journey itself holds more significance to me than any predetermined destination.
As I seek the essence of things, I generate internal philosophical inquiries and respond to them by questioning the environment. I view the process of research as an essential subject of my practice, emphasizing that the journey and the exploration are where the true value resides.
Environmental Responsibility and Identity:
As an impactful artist, I also explore the responsibility we bear toward the environment, especially in the context of technological advancement. My work grapples with the broader concept of identity, an enduring theme throughout history, now further complicated by the globalization facilitated by the World Wide Web. Having emigrated from my country as an adult, I seek to understand the ever-evolving significance of identity and the various ways artists navigate this complex terrain.
Influential Readings:
My practice is informed by authors, such as Tania Bruguera's "Immigrant Movement Manifesto" and "Manifesto on Artists' Rights," as well as Gaston Bachelard's "The Poetics of Space." Lisa FitzGerald's "Digital Vision and the Ecological Aesthetic" has also contributed to my exploration of the intersection between technology and the environment.

City 15 - Connections and can be seen and read as a journal. The collection explores the interplay between the familiar and unfamiliar, seen and unseen, tactile and digital using rubbing, drawing both digital and not-digital, collage and editing, to capture the essence of the urban environment. They incorporate digital tools into their practice to create hybrid forms that blur the boundaries between physical and virtual. Material, both phisical and digital, plays a central role in the work, reflecting within the rhythms and textures of contemporary life and creating a visual language which comes back into my work transformed and reused. The artist's aim is to understand and connect to what they see, seeking internal philosophical questions about identity and environment.
